Evan Mundine's Medical Fund
Frieda Mundine started the campaign

Evan Mundine is a fourteen-year-old soccer player living in Central Texas who was recently diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and multiple bacterial infections in his intestinal tract; he recently spent a week in the hospital, and he will be readmitted today due to ongoing complications, including internal bleeding. Evan is a young man who has already endured several open-chest surgeries last year and prior to that fought a two-year battle to return to the game he loves after a leg injury a week before his tenth birthday. Evan has spent his life helping others through fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Nothing But Nets, and the American Heart Society, registering bone marrow donors for the Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei (DKMS), collecting soccer equipment for Passback, running numerous food drives, independently managing benefits and auctions (in which he auctioned away some of his collection of autographed soccer balls and jerseys) to help individuals who were struggling with cancer. --Now Evan needs help. He's uninsured, and with his medical history there's no way for his parents to afford getting him private insurance. The medicines and treatments are expensive -- well beyond his family's current means. It looks as though Evan will need this medical treatment for the rest of his life. Our hope is that through this campaign we'll raise enough to cover the first month of treatment and care for Evan. --Thank you very much for taking time to read this.
