We've gained a lot of #buzzout awareness and enthusiasm with recent ads in the Old Gold and Black and in the Greensboro News and Record, as well as with the increased attention paid to www.firebz.com.

That's all great, but recent murmurs from local press indicate that Jeff Bzdelik will be back as coach of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in 2013-14.

And that's not okay.

The next step, and one that has been discussed many times over in the past, is a billboard ad.  We've gotten quoted for a billboard on Business I-40 in downtown Winston Salem, and we're looking at about $4500 for a four week spot.  Considering that $2500 was raised in two days for the print ads only last week, we're obviously expecting this to take a little while longer, but we're going to put the expiration at one month from now and see where the funding goes.  This is also intended to be a litmus test for enthusiasm in the project.

The designer of the newspaper ads would have full control over design and content of this billboard.  We have no idea yet if athletic director Ron Wellman would be a specific target of the billboard, but that is obviously up for discussion, and is certainly a realistic possibility at this point.

If you have any input or advice, you can visit the official project thread at the OG Boards for more information.

We are leaning strongly (read: very, very, very strongly) towards aiming the ad at both Bzdelik and Ron Wellman. So there is a very strong chance that Wellman is explicitly targeted here.
